Charities we LOVE and how you can help.....

Every month the Farmer's Market at CLS promotes and supports a local charity.  The volunteers and vendors at our market take giving back to the community very seriously.  Below you will find a list of charities we have raised funds for and have donated directly to those charities. If you would like to donate, we invite you to have some fun and bring your piggy banks to the market for a good cause.

September 10, 2011 - Breseman Party for 4

We are whole-heartedly supporting a local family that has been hit with the economic recession.  The Beresman Family is facing foreclosure and we are aiming to put a stop to that. We are holding a raffle at the Market and there is an open fundraiser being held on the Island on Sunday, September 10.  Come to the island to buy a barbecue plate, participate in the WORLD FAMOUS DUCK RACES or enjoy some of the ice cream being served to help support this family. Party will be located on the bridges in Lazy Bend at 3pm. Contact Allan Batchelor for more info:

Look for the White Tents!

The Farmers' Market at Clear Lake Shores is a non-profit outlet for locally-grown fruit, vegetables, and other foods.
The Market is operated by volunteers who care about our community.  Our Vendors are local citizens providing the freshest food from their own establishments. By becoming one of our vendors, we truly aim to partner with those citizens to grow and market your business.

The Clear Lake Shores City government supports this community resource for the benefit of the City's citizens as well as for those of surrounding communities.

The Farmers' Market at Clear Lake Shores is a TEXAS CERTIFIED FARMERS MARKET.

We also aim to provide an avenue for local schools, PTA's, bands, churches, and similar non-profits to earn money for their charities and organizations.

Finally, we look to support our local businesses through sponsorship of our volunteer driven Kid's Activity Tent.  Any business wishing to volunteer their time can sponsor the Kid's Activity Tent for free.  Utilizing this sponsorship as a marketing opportunity, rather than a retail one.

We would like to welcome our newest vendors!

La Petit Croissant Bakery is from Pearland and brings their Fresh baked breads and pastries every week.  The Chocolate Croissant is my favorite.  Also remeber to get some bread to go with our Olive Oils or maybe even our next new vendor...

Cheesy Girl Cheese Company is a kemah based business owned by Susan Holle.  Her vegetarian gourmet cheeses are a perfect match for almost anything you get from the market.  Susan's goat cheese is handcrafted and the gourmet taste is unbelievable.  You can also find Cheesy Girls online on our vendors page.

Renee's Catering is back with her signature carrot and fudge cakes, beer bread mixes and other goodies.

Finally, meet Hope Village.  They are a local non-profit selling "Hope Soap", perfumes and other handcrafted items in support of their clientele, individuals with mental dissabilities.
